SENIOR PARAPLANNER - IPSWICH

We are delighted to be representing an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join a professional Financial Planning and Wealth Management team in Ipswich.

This is a senior technical role supporting Financial Planners with complex and varied client cases. You will play an important part in the delivery of high-quality, tailored financial advice, providing detailed research, analysis and technical support throughout the advice process.

The role would suit an experienced Paraplanner who enjoys working on technically detailed cases, producing high-quality suitability reports and working closely with Advisers to deliver excellent client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide senior technical and Paraplanning support to Financial Planners
• Manage and support complex financial planning cases
• Gather, analyse and interpret detailed client information
• Research investments, pensions and other financial products
• Prepare high-quality and compliant suitability reports
• Draft detailed financial planning recommendations
• Prepare meeting packs and supporting documentation
• Model financial planning scenarios and outcomes
• Update financial plans following client reviews
• Provide technical input throughout the advice process
• Maintain accurate client records and CRM information
• Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and compliance standards
• Work closely with Financial Advisers and client service teams
• Manage multiple cases and competing deadlines
• Contribute ideas for improving processes and systems
• Ensure technical advice is presented clearly and in a client-friendly manner
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, confidentiality and professional conduct

About You:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Paraplanner or highly experienced Paraplanner with a strong technical background within IFA, Financial Planning or Wealth Management.

You will ideally have:

• Extensive Paraplanning experience
• Strong technical knowledge of financial planning and wealth management
• Experience supporting Advisers with complex cases
• Strong knowledge of investments, pensions and wider financial planning solutions
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Proven experience preparing suitability and technical reports
• The ability to interpret complex information and communicate it clearly
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Good understanding of UK financial services regulations
• Experience with financial planning software, CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• A professional, ethical and client-focused approach

Qualifications:

Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent
Additional financial planning qualifications would be advantageous
Good understanding of UK financial services and regulatory requirements
