PARAPLANNER - EDINBURGH

An established and successful Wealth Management business is looking to expand its Paraplanning team and is seeking a fully qualified and experienced Paraplanner to join the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Paraplanner to join a professional and growing team, providing high-quality support to Financial Advisers and helping to ensure clients receive a first-class service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete full analysis of client requirements and prepare accurate, high-quality suitability reports.
• Produce cash flow models and ensure all client data is accurate and up to date.
• Maintain consistently high standards of documentation and report writing.
• Ensure all client business is processed compliantly and within agreed timescales.
• Provide comprehensive paraplanning and technical support to Financial Advisers, the administration team and Practice Manager.
• Assist Advisers with technical queries and complex client cases.
• Keep Advisers regularly updated on case progress and liaise with relevant teams to help move cases forward efficiently.
• Liaise with product providers to obtain replacement contract information and other relevant documentation.
• Maintain a strong and up-to-date knowledge of financial planning, products, legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Complete all required training and maintain ongoing CPD and professional development.
• Work towards agreed KPIs and quality standards.
• Support the wider team with additional duties and projects as required by your Line Manager.

About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Proven experience working as a Paraplanner within financial planning or wealth management.
• CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent report-writing skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate and client-focused documentation.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong numerical ability and confidence working with financial data and performance information.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• A proactive approach to work, with a willingness to embrace change and new ways of working.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
• A positive, professional and “can-do” attitude.
