PARAPLANNER - DERBYSHIRE

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Paraplanner to join a professional and growing Financial Planning team based in Lockington.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced Financial Advisers, providing high-quality technical research, financial analysis and report writing to support the delivery of comprehensive financial planning advice to high-net-worth clients.

You will play an important role in ensuring clients receive clear, accurate and well-researched recommendations, while allowing Financial Advisers to focus on building and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and research support to Financial Advisers
• Conduct detailed financial research and analysis
• Prepare high-quality recommendation, suitability and strategy reports
• Produce clear, concise and client-focused reports in Plain English
• Support advisers with complex financial planning cases
• Research and analyse financial products, investments and solutions
• Provide technical support across pre- and post-retirement planning
• Assist with pension transfers and SIPP-related cases
• Research taxation and investment matters
• Ensure recommendations are appropriate and suitable for individual client circumstances
• Work within established advice, compliance and regulatory processes
• Provide regular updates to Financial Advisers on case progress and workflow
• Manage workloads effectively to meet agreed deadlines and service standards
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, regulation and industry best practice
• Identify and raise any concerns or technical issues where appropriate

About You:

We are looking for an experienced Paraplanner with a strong technical background and previous experience within an IFA or Financial Planning environment.

You will ideally have:

• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent
• Previous experience working as a Paraplanner within an IFA environment
• Proven experience in financial research and analysis
• Strong report-writing experience, including suitability, recommendation and strategy reports
• Good technical knowledge across a range of financial planning areas
• Experience with pre- and post-retirement planning
• Knowledge of pension transfers and SIPP providers
• Good understanding of investments and taxation
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
• A strong client-focused approach
