A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Adviser to take over an established client portfolio of approximately 100 clients within a successful wealth management practice in Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Adviser looking to step into an established book of business, build long-term client relationships and benefit from a strong support structure including Paraplanning and Client Services.
You will act as a trusted adviser to your clients, gaining a thorough understanding of their financial circumstances, objectives and longer-term goals and providing high-quality, tailored financial planning advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for an established portfolio of approximately 100 clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Conduct regular annual reviews and ensure clients' financial plans continue to meet their needs.
- Provide holistic financial advice based on clients' individual circumstances and objectives.
- Use cash-flow modelling and financial planning tools where appropriate.
- Work closely with Paraplanners and Client Services to deliver an excellent client experience.
- Prepare and present suitable and compliant financial recommendations.
- Maintain accurate client files and ensure all advice meets regulatory and compliance standards.
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation, taxation, investments and financial markets.
- Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and generate additional business.
- Develop relationships with prospective clients, introducers and professional connections.
- Generate new opportunities through referrals and existing client relationships.
- Contribute positively to the wider team and support the continued growth of the business.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced Financial Adviser / Financial Planner who is confident managing an established client bank and building trusted, long-term relationships.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Financial Adviser or Financial Planner.
- Experience managing an established client portfolio.
- Strong knowledge of holistic financial planning and wealth management.
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
- Experience conducting client reviews and presenting recommendations.
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and retirement planning.
- A professional, personable and trustworthy approach.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach.
- The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and develop existing relationships.
Qualifications:
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent – essential.
- Current SPS.
- Relevant CII qualifications would be advantageous.
- Experience working within a regulated financial advice environment.
- Commitment to ongoing CPD and professional development.
