An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join a growing, regulated financial services business based in London.
This is a varied and influential role, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business while ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and commercial success. You will work closely with the Directors, bridging the gap between strategic planning and daily execution across finance, compliance, HR, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finance & Business Operations
- Reconcile business income within the CRM system.
- Assist with the preparation of management and company accounts.
- Process monthly payroll.
- Ensure P11D compliance.
- Manage introducer payments.
- Complete company bank reconciliations.
- Oversee and manage the firm's technology systems and software.
Regulation & Compliance:
- Submit regulatory returns.
- Maintain Appointed Representative compliance.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Monitor Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
- Coordinate Chartered status renewals.
- Chair Investment and Proposition Committee meetings.
- Conduct adviser one-to-one meetings.
- Work alongside external compliance consultants.
- Manage Professional Indemnity Insurance renewals.
- Oversee the Training & Competence (T&C) scheme.
- Monitor file reviews and management information (MI).
Human Resources:
- Manage recruitment activities
- Prepare employment contracts and maintain the staff handbook.
- Coordinate annual staff reviews.
- Organise staff incentive programmes.
- Business Administration
- Oversee IT security and technology infrastructure.
- Manage business hardware and software.
- Coordinate board meetings.
- Support the development and delivery of the business plan.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives.
- Manage office facilities and relationships with external suppliers.
- Liaise with external accountants where required.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 5 years' experience in an Operations Manager or Senior Administration role within a regulated business.
- Experience managing small to medium-sized teams.
- Degree-level education.
- A Level 4 Diploma, PRINCE2 qualification, or an accounting qualification (desirable).
- Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and experience using financial planning or back-office software.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- A methodical, proactive, and positive approach to your work.
- The ability to work collaboratively while managing multiple priorities.
Salary & Benefits:
Following successful completion of probation, you'll receive:
- Competitive salary of £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience.
